• Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience/knowledge of Emergency Disaster Preparedness
• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in a related filed or 8 years of experience in emergency management in an acute setting in lieu of a degree required.
• Hazmat trained and certified within 90 days of hire required
• Must be able to be sensitive to cultural.
• Must be able to attend on and offsite emergency management trainings and drills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of nursing, administration, and physicians.
• Written and verbal communications, interpersonal skills.
• Basic organizational
• Intermediate computer skills, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Use of quality improvement tools and methods preferred.
• Knowledgeable with Joint Commission Emergency Management standards
• Emergency management systems, NIMS/HICS
• Previous work history in a management position preferred.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
• Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to PRMC’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer.

• Emergency Preparedness Certification required.
• Hazmat Certification required.
• CPI is required within 30 days of hire.
