The Biller/Collections Specialist assists with overall billing activities in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, regulations, and as directed by the Controller, to assure that billing tasks and collections are done correctly and on schedule.

Primary Job Duties:

• Manages private pay billing and ensures that the Centralized Statement process is followed.
• Completes and ensures that all room, ancillary, and miscellaneous charges are timely recorded.
• Manages cash receipts, deposits, and cash deposit reconciliation.
• Review monthly A/R reports, track private accounts until payment is received.
• Assist in timely mailing of monthly resident statements.
• Manages resident census and various payers in Point Click Care
• Insurance verification.
• Performing other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or assigned at any time with or without notice

  Educational and Experience Requirements:

  Must possess adequate clerical and bookkeeping skills to perform essential functions. Minimum high school diploma with an associate degree in business or accounting fields; and/or experience in billing operations in healthcare related field, preferred. Must have at least six (6) months clerical/bookkeeping experience.
