PSBHC is an intensive inpatient psychiatric program for males and females, ages 11 – 17 years old. We offer a highly structured supportive and safe environment for children and adolescents who are experiencing behavioral, emotional, family, and social challenges.

Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center is currently seeking an experienced Environmental Service Worker/Housekeeper to join our team. As an Environmental Service Worker/Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment in accordance with hospital and OSHA standards. This is a critical role in ensuring the well-being of our patients, staff, and visitors.

Work Schedule: Wednesday-Sunday (Monday/Tuesday off)
7 am-3:30pm or 8 am -4:30pm

Duties:

- Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of assigned areas, including patient rooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas

- Follow established protocols for handling and disposing of hazardous materials

- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential safety hazards and report any issues to the appropriate personnel

- Assist with floor care, including vacuuming, mopping, and carpet cleaning

- Ensure proper storage and usage of cleaning supplies and equipment

- Collaborate with other members of the environmental services team to maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the facility

Experience:

- Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is required

- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to environmental services

- Familiarity with commercial cleaning techniques and equipment

- Ability to effectively clean and sanitize various surfaces and materials

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively

- Ability to understand and communicate in English both verbally and in writing. Additionally, to be able to follow written and/or oral instructions, and to record completed assignments as required.

Background: Must be able to pass a Level 2 Background Screening to work in Healthcare (AHCA) and Pre-employment Drug Test.
