Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching swimming techniques and water safety to students of all ages and skill levels. Duties:
- Conduct swim lessons in accordance with established curriculum and guidelines
- Provide individualized instruction to students based on their abilities and goals
- Teach proper swimming techniques, including strokes, breathing, and floating
- Promote water safety practices and educate students on pool rules
- Utilize behavior management techniques to ensure a safe and productive learning environment
- Assess student progress and provide feedback for improvement
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, lesson plans, and student evaluations
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to coordinate class schedules and activities
Experience:
- Previous experience in swimming or swim instruction
- Experience working with children or students in a childcare or educational setting is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications are required (or willingness to obtain)
- Lifeguard certification is a plus
We offer competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications. This position may be part-time or full-time depending on availability.
