Responsibilities for Glazing/Glazier Construction Project Manager

A glazing project manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of glass installation projects. Their key responsibilities include:

• Project Planning: Creating project plans and schedules for glass installation projects.
• Resource Allocation: Allocating resources such as labor, materials, and equipment efficiently.
• Budget Management: Developing and managing project budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Contract Negotiation: Negotiating contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Quality Control: Implementing quality control measures to ensure the installation meets specified standards.
• Safety Compliance: Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols on the construction site.
• Client Communication: Facilitating communication with clients to address concerns and provide updates on project progress.
• Documentation: Keeping accurate records of project activities and generating reports as needed.

In essence, the glazing project manager oversees the planning, execution, and completion of glass installation projects while ensuring quality, safety, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications for Glazing/Glazier Construction Project Manager

Bachelor's degree in Building Construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture optional

• 5 years of experience in project management within construction
• Comfortable reading and understanding blueprints and drawings
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Bluebeam and general computer software
• Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles
• Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs
• High degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions optional
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Strong Communication skills required for working with Owners, Contractors, Architects, Vendors, and field employees.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
