Location: Port Washington, NY (Hybrid -Three days in office Tues-Thurs)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as the Director of Education. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing educational programs and initiatives that enhance the knowledge and expertise of our employees, customers, and partners in the wine and spirits industry. The role will lead the development and execution of a national curriculum designed to drive superior sales performance combining both technical and commercial deliverables.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Curriculum Development: Create comprehensive educational curricula covering Palm Bay’s comprehensive portfolio of wine and spirits products. Content will combine brand storytelling, technical production information, fact-based selling techniques, contemporary industry trends, defining competitive advantage, and market positioning.
  • Certification Programs: Develop certification programs for employees and partners to achieve industry-recognized qualifications and credentials.
  • Educational Events: Plan and execute educational events such as tastings, workshops, seminars, and webinars to educate and engage our stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams such as sales, marketing, and product development to align educational initiatives with business goals and strategies.
  • Content Creation: Create engaging and informative educational materials, including presentations, videos, guides, and online courses.
  • Industry Research: continue to update the organization with industry trends, market insights, and competitor activities to continuously improve our educational offerings.
  • Feedback and Evaluation: Gather feedback from participants and stakeholders to evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make necessary improvements.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all educational materials and programs comply with industry regulations and standards.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, education, or related field (Master's degree a plus).
  • At least 5 years of experience in education, training, or related roles within the wine and spirits industry.
  • Strong knowledge of wine and spirits production, categories, regions, and trends.
  • Experience in curriculum development, instructional design, and adult learning principles.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms, digital tools, and educational technology.
  • Ability and readiness to travel 40% of the time, and flexibility to work outside of normal business hours (evenings and weekends, when required).

Benefits Overview:

Palm Bay offers a competitive compensation package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(K), paid vacation, personal time off and 11 paid company holidays.

Salary Range: $120-135,000.00
