SOFTWARE TECHNICAL WRITER AND TRAINER

We are looking for a talented and experienced Software Technical Writer and Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will not only create comprehensive and user-friendly documentation but also develop and deliver training programs to help users and internal staff effectively utilize our software solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities

• 
  Documentation Development: Write and maintain detailed user manuals, technical guides, API documentation, release notes, and online help content. Create clear, concise, and comprehensive tutorials, FAQs, and how-to guides.
• Training Development: Design and develop training materials, including presentations, videos, and e-learning modules. Create training manuals and guides for end-users and internal staff.
• Training Delivery: Conduct training sessions and workshops for customers, partners, and internal teams. Deliver training in various formats including in-person, webinars, and online courses.
• Collaboration: Work closely with software developers, product managers, support teams, and other stakeholders to gather information and understand software functionalities. Participate in product design and development meetings to stay informed about new features and updates.
• Quality Assurance: Review and edit documentation and training materials for accuracy, clarity, and consistency. Ensure all content complies with company standards and industry best practices.

Education and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, Education, English, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of experience in technical writing and/or training, within a software development environment.
• Proficiency with documentation tools such as MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, or similar.
• Experience with training software such as Articulate, Camtasia, or similar.
• Basic understanding of software development processes.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
• Ability to simplify complex technical information for a diverse audience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Experience creating multimedia content to support documentation and training.
