Host/Hostess. Food and Beverage. Pala Cafe

JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for reception and seating of patrons in the restaurant. Responsible for receiving and processing payment from patrons.

QUALIFICATIONS: (Include equipment knowledge/use)

• Three-six months related experience and/or training.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:

• Obtain and maintain Pala Gaming License

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for reception and seating of patrons in the restaurant.
• Receives payment from Food and Beverage guests in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner.
• Records dollar amount received and prepares reports of transactions.
• Verifies record totals shown in cash register tape and balances against cash on hand.
• Answers telephones and makes guest reservations, if necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: (*Constantly, Frequently, Occasionally)

• Constantly walking, standing, hearing, seeing and talking.
• Occasionally balancing, bending, reaching, twisting, sitting, holding, wrist motion, reading and stooping.
• Occasionally lifting and/or carrying up to 50 lbs for distances up to 50 feet.
• Occasionally pushing and/or pulling up to a maximum of 120 lbs. for distances up to 40 feet.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Work is performed in a climate-controlled environment and abroad in target communities.
• Work is performed inside a climate-controlled environment with an occasional hot and cold temperature changes.
• Standing and walking on tile, mats, rugs.
• Work in close space with others.
• Works in moderate noise level environment.
• Subject to various food odors.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.50 per hour
