Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Surgery Scheduler. As a Surgery Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office by coordinating and scheduling surgical procedures. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and advancement.

Responsibilities:

- Schedule surgical procedures and coordinate with patients, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals

- Obtain necessary pre-authorization and insurance verification for surgeries

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic medical record system which is EClinicalWorks

- Communicate with patients to provide pre-operative instructions and answer any questions or concerns they may have

- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure all necessary equipment, supplies, and resources are available for each procedure

- Coordinate with other departments to schedule necessary pre-operative tests or consultations

- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations

- Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, managing appointments, and filing medical records

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a dental office or medical administrative support role is preferred

- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems such as eClinicalWorks

- Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with surgical procedures is a plus

- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to maintain professionalism and provide exceptional customer service to patients

- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or urgent situations
