We are a growing medical practiceseeking a Accounts Receivable specialist, to become a part of our team! We’re looking for a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working directly with people.

Responsibilities:

*Follow up on outstanding insurance claims and meeting the requirements of the insurance companies so claims can be processed for reimbursement

* Assist with precertification’s

*Assist with patient calls, providing good customer service

* Verify insurance coverage for new and existing patients

*Resubmit claims electronically and on HCFA and UB

*Multitask between duties as required/needed

*Cover and assist other jobs within the department, as needed

​Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED
• Experience in a medical office setting
• Excellent phone manner
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel program
• Pleasant personality, organized, reliable, excellent communication
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

​Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with insurance company procedures and policies
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding
• 2 years medical office experience (preferably dealing with insurance)
