Job Title: Insurance Verification Specialist
Job Summary:
Our healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage and eligibility, ensuring that all necessary information is obtained and accurately entered into our system. The Insurance Verification Specialist will work closely with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to ensure that all necessary information is obtained in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility
- Obtain and accurately enter patient insurance information into our system
- Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to obtain necessary information
- Ensure that all necessary documentation is obtained and accurately recorded
- Work closely with billing and coding staff to ensure that claims are processed accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all insurance verification activities
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in insurance verification or related field
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing codes
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
