Overview
Physician Affiliate Group of New York ( PAGNY ) is adding a Director of Gastroenterology to the group at Kings County Hospital. The hospital is part of the NYC Health Hospitals System (NYCHHC). Kings County Hospital operates a world-renowned Level 1 Trauma Center, one of only three in Brooklyn, which serves 2.6 million residents of Brooklyn and Staten Island.
The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Medical Center To maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

Opportunity Details

  • Provide outpatient and inpatient consultations for patients with digestive and liver diseases
  • Perform Diagnostic/Therapeutic Upper Endoscopy, Colonoscopy and/or Push Enteroscopy (with or without biopsies, polypectomy, control of bleeding, ligation of varices, removal of foreign bodies, dilation, stenting, etc.) for outpatients and inpatients
  • Perform screening colonoscopies
  • Perform and interpret capsule endoscopy procedures
  • Supervise and mentor gastroenterology fellows and medicine residents assigned to the gastroenterology service
  • Perform administrative duties including the daily attending schedule
  • Participate in the weekend and evening call coverage for gastroenterology at NYC Health Hospitals/Kings County and SUNY Downstate Medical Center
Qualifications

  • Current licensed NY State registration (or the ability to obtain one)
  • Current DEA Registration
  • Board Certified in Gastroenterology
  • Graduate from approved Medical School

Annual Based Salary: $350,000.00 annual base salary
