Pagada Services is Hiring a Business Unit Finance Analyst Near New York, NY

Position Summary:

The Financial Business Analyst role is an intensive position that allows the employee to see across many different departments and entities at Company. You will work with people at all levels and learn how to navigate the corporate environment to understand how to provide Finance, Sales, and Engineering partners with the support they need to meet to better understand their business.

Your primary responsibilities will be to support the Business Unit Financial Partner (BUFP), Director of Finance, and the Business Unit Cost Center Owners in performing analysis to better understand the current state of the business and improve the decision-making process and forecast quality.

Job Function:

  • Roles:
  • Support BUFP & collaborate with the Business Unit Leader, Engineering and Marketing teams.
  • Analyze sales and financial reports to derive trends.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly Sales and financial presentations.
  • Tasks:
  • Business Analysis
  • Prepare and publish monthly and quarterly expense reports and analyses with a focus on goal achievement for each BU cost center owner.
  • Prepare, analyze, and publish monthly (KPIs) to identify causes of unexpected variances.
  • Assist in benchmarking financial KPI and ad-hoc analysis related to the current business.
  • Prepare variance analysis for sales, P&L, Headcount, and CapEx.
  • Prepare Gross margin analysis including impact from sales price variance, product mix, and volume.
  • Planning:
  • Assist the Cost Center Manager during the budgeting and forecasting cycle.
  • Assist Business unit Partners in meeting planning calendar deadlines.
  • Other:
  • Lead and support special projects, miscellaneous financial analysis, and other financial initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
  • 3 years of FP&A and 2-3 years of finance and accounting experience.
  • Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel (2 years of everyday experience).
  • Strong grasp of business finances.
  • Demonstrate good personal judgment, and effectively handle tasks under pressure.
  • Track records to develop strong relationships, influence thinking, and drive consensus among a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills needed Ability to operate comfortably, independently, and effectively in a fast-paced, highly cross-functional, rapidly changing environment.
  • Positive attitude and excitement to contribute and grow!
  • Familiarity with financial reporting and planning tools is strongly preferred.
  • Good analysis and problem-solving skills to address the differing issues presented by the customer as well as the business.
  • Discretion to deal with confidential information.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
