Paducah Television Operations LLC is Hiring a Producer Near Providence, RI
The ideal candidate will be a creative and energetic producer, who has the ability to juggle breaking and daily news. We are looking for a strong writer, who takes ownership of their newscast and understands relevant news content and viewer benefit.
Responsible for:
- Coordinating daily with the rest of the news and production teams to create the highest quality content and to present that content in creative ways.
- Works closely with reporters and photographers to coordinate coverage, stories, video and live shots for the newscasts.
- Writes scripts for their newscasts and creates a strong newscast rundown to ensure all newscast content is presented in a way that best benefits the viewers.
- During the newscast, the producer must time out the newscast and communicate closely with the directors, anchors and field crews, particularly as adjustments are made.
- The producer must have excellent time management skills.
- The producer also helps write for digital platforms and assists other producers with their newscasts as needed.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications or a related field, or equivalent training and/or experience.
