GENERAL DESCRIPTION
A laborer is responsible for the majority of the physical labor performed on the job. This position is an entry level position, to assist in general operations of the Fabrication productions.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION
· Assist machine operators through his/her shift.
· Material handling – help set up for production runs, move material after completion.
· May be required to operate forklift.
· Able to retrieve material from yard for production runs.
· Keep work areas clean, sweeping up.
· After training, be able to run small jobs without supervision.
· Able and willing to assist on all machines.
· May assist in other shop areas at management discretion.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION
· Good physical condition required – job requires prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, lifting above shoulders climbing on ladders and lifting up to 80 pounds and 50 pounds repetitively.
· Good mental and visual effort required.
· Able to and willing to work with others.
· Must have good work habits – be on time, do not miss work, take pride in work.
· Be willing to work overtime and some Saturdays.
