What Are We Looking For?

We are currently seeking a heavy part time or full time (3-5 days per week, 25-40 hours per week) team member. Availability between 9:30am and 8:30pm is required, and shift lengths may vary depending on the day. All employees are required to work at least one weekend day on our set schedule. The position is not a temporary or seasonal one. We value long-term employees and work hard to take care of our staff, so we are seeking someone who is interested in a longer-term position. The successful candidate will also have the following skills and qualifications:

• Strong preference of 6-12 months minimum in retail, customer service, food service or pet-related work.
• An outgoing (extrovert or ambivert) personality with the ability to engage thoughtfully with customers.
• A motivated, self-starter attitude and an interest in working in a collaborative and supportive team environment.
• Must own/live with and be a primary caregiver for at least one cat or dog; this means that you are directly involved with the care and feeding of the pet(s) on a daily basis, are at least partly financially responsible for them, and are a decision-maker about their diet, health and enrichment.
• Must have an interest in learning all about pet nutrition.
• Must be at least age 18 with high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to lift at least 40lb and perform physical tasks including bending down and climbing 6' ladders.
• Must have reliable transportation to Mill Creek Town Center.
• Must be able to work at least one or both weekend days regularly; we are not able to offer weekday-only schedules.
• Must be able to work around the major November and December holidays, when we are busiest.
