Direct Support Professional (DSP - Autism) - Rogers Park Area of Chicago, IL

$20.50 per hour!

PACTT Learning Center is seeking experienced Direct Support Professionals who will provide assistance to individuals with autism in a community residential setting. DSPs at PACTT provide valuable and vital services to the participants we serve.

About PACTT:

PACTT educational, residential, and vocational programs support children and adults with autism. At PACTT, our mission is to assist individuals with autism in becoming as independent as possible with the ability to integrate effectively into their homes and community.

Mandatory Job Qualifications:

• High school diploma from an accredited educational institution or GED.
• Ability to pass state mandated background checks.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have valid driver's license and pass MVR check.
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends.

Essential Functions:

• Provide a supportive and nurturing environment for residents in their home and community.
• Implement specialized programs in areas of communication, socialization and behavior management.
• Assist with and teach independent living skills.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal self-care such as toileting, eating, grooming, bathing and dressing.
• Accompany participants to various community activities.
• Maintains cleanliness of homes and ensures a healthy living environment for participants.
