The Pactiv Evergreen Pine Bluff Paper Mill is located in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, less than an hour from Little Rock in scenic southeast Arkansas. It is the largest industrial employer in Jefferson County. Opened in 1958, Pine Bluff is the largest facility within Evergreen Packaging and is home to the world's largest gable-top liquid packaging paperboard machine. In addition to producing paperboard for cartons, the facility also produces coated paper for magazines.

Responsibilities

Manufacturing Process Engineer

Effectively fulfill process engineering demands of a paper mill operating or maintenance department. Primary focus will be in process optimization, coordination of trials, and process improvements.

Essential Functions:

· Troubleshooting quality issues

· Learning key operating parameters

· Solving production issues

· Assist with shutdowns, start-ups, etc.

· Running trials

· Networking with vendors and operators

· Recommending new chemicals and equipment

· Monitoring key variables

· Collecting and analyzing data

· Collaborating with engineers, managers, operators

· Working independently

· Working in teams

Qualifications

Requirements:

Recent or upcoming graduate with B.S. in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Paper Science Engineering

· Preferably 1 or more internship(s) an industrial / manufacturing setting

· Desire and capability to work in manufacturing for a long-term career

· Strong computer skills

· Prefer hands-on assignments. Expect to spend 50% of time out in the mill

· Exhibit excellent interpersonal & communications skills

· Highly self-motivated, but able to work with teams

· Willingness to teach and train others

· Proven leadership skills

· Good interpersonal & communications skills

· Positive attitude toward workplace safety

· Strong time management skills
