Mechanical Specialist interface with managers, team members, vendors, and customers. Therefore, the following skills and proficiencies are also essential requirements of the position:
Minimum 10 years of industrial maintenance experience or some type of heavy equipment repair.
Must take and pass Ramsey Mechanical Aptitude Test
Computer skills and/or ability to be trained on work order system
Ability to effectively communicate to aid in trouble shooting
Welding experience
Must show initiative and adaptability to work independently and/or as part of a team
Must have strong desire to learn, develop, and adapt to new equipment and methods
Be willing to work overtime as required to meet company goals
Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance
Maintain equipment at a high level to meet safety, quality, and production goals
Extensive preventative and predictive maintenance experience
Advanced skills in diagnosing problems, repair, and adjustment of equipment
Background in pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Prior in depth repairing gear boxes, bearings, belts, chains, rollers, pumps.
Read and interpret equipment manuals, prints, and work orders to perform required maintenance and services
Machining skills
Use a variety of hand and power tools
Follow Safety and Health policies and procedures
Ability to drive material handling equipment or be trained to drive material handling equipment
