About Pacmed

At Pacmed we develop world leading AI-based decision-support software for intensive care doctors. It’s a hugely exciting area where we’re breaking boundaries every day. We have currently implemented our software in our first ICUs, and we are currently developing new exciting features and prototypes, with the ambition to scale across the Netherlands and beyond. We’re looking for a Clinical Research Specialist who’s excited to further develop our products into impactful tools to help improve the level of medical care for as many patients as possible.

What this role is all about

As Clinical Research Specialist, you’ll be part of the Product team working closely together with the Quality and Regulatory teams. You are the key person managing all our research activities related to our product. This includes defining our research strategy, internal alignment with various stakeholders, external alignment with research partners (hospitals) and operationally managing the research projects (such as a clinical trial).

A typical week might consist of meeting with doctors and other stakeholders in the hospitals, working on a research protocol and having internal meetings with Product and QA/RA colleagues to align our research requirements.

What would be expected of you

  • Strategic overview of all streams of research around Pacmed Critical

  • Gathering the proof of the value of our product from all perspectives (product, commercial, regulatory)

  • Provide clinical inputs for RA strategy (e.g. Post-Market Clinical Follow Up)

  • Provide trial-specific timelines, milestones and planning strategies

  • Maintain good relationships with research related contacts at partnering hospitals

  • Bonus: enable strong scientific publications in high-profile journals

Must-haves

  • BA/BS degree in Life Sciences or Medical field

  • A minimum of 5 years of Clinical Research experience (medical devices/pharmaceutical industry/CRO/ hospital)

  • Strong stakeholder and project management skills

  • Basic understanding of AI technology to drive research strategy

Should-haves

We hope you bring these things as well, but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes.

  • Strong proven understanding of relevant laws and regulations (e.g.ICH-GCP, local laws, MDR, relevant quality standards)

  • Experience with different research methodologies / designs

  • Commercial intuïtion to align research to customer perspective

Nice-to-haves

These are things that would make your profile jump out!

  • Experience working with AI (product or research) in healthcare

  • Proficient in Dutch language to make communication with hospitals extra easy
