Overview:
We are an independent neighborhood Retail Pack and Ship store and we are seeking a dynamic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and sales, with a focus on providing an exceptional shipping experience. Responsibilities:
- Receive and process drop-off packages and packages for shipment
- Operate copiers, fax machines, and point-of-sale devices
- Advise customers by providing accurate options regarding the products and services we offer
- Process sales transactions accurately using cash registers and credit card machines
- Utilize phone etiquette to handle customer inquiries and provide information
- Pack shipments to ensure they are safely to their destinations
- Assist with inventory management and restocking shelves
Requirements:
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred
- Proficiency in shipping and point-of-sale software is a plus
- Ability to handle cash transactions with precision
- Strong communication skills with fluency in English
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Willingness to learn best practices related to the shipping industry
