Overview

Under general guidance and direction, the Web Developer is responsible for activities related to creating browser based user interfaces for bank applications. The Web Developer collaborates with business analysts, business users and other developers to plan, design and develop user interfaces. This position requires an ability to work independently with limited day-to-day supervision. Candidates need to have the ability to work with other team members and willingness to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business users to gather and evaluate requirements for user interfaces and to create user flows, wireframes, prototypes and mockups for user interfaces and present to stakeholders
• Develop user interfaces for complex web applications
• Develop front end code that interacts and integrates with business logic
• Perform usability tests to evaluate user experience
• Analyze user interfaces of existing applications to identify areas to improve, and design and implement improvements
• Create project plans and provide time estimates for completion of projects
• Document policies, designs, procedures and installation instructions
• Must be available for after hour support, including evening or weekend deployments (generally three to four times a quarter)
• Travel to office sites 20% of time
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Web development experience with HTML 5, CSS, jQuery, Spring Boot, React JS or other NodeJS libraries
• Proficiency in designing interfaces and building prototypes
• Expert knowledge of common UI development frameworks and languages including HTML5, CSS, jQuery, Spring Boot, React JS and other NodeJS libraries
• Experience with integrating UI code with back end software, microservices, and APIs
• Experience with common software development languages such as Java, JSP or C# a plus
• Experience with development tools such as JIRA and GIT a plus
• Proven teamwork and collaborative focus
• Communications skills for technical and non-technical groups
• Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with senior technical staff
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot performance and operational problems preferred

Preferred:

• Advanced certifications preferred
• 3 – 5 years web development experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Role requires sitting or standing in front of a computer monitor for prolonged periods of time in a fixed neck position.
• Constant use of a computer or other office equipment resulting in repeating motions of the hands and wrists.
• Light work that may include moving objects up to 20 pounds.
