Job Summary

Responsible for performing all aspects of review, monitoring and oversight of the Bank’s insurance vendor including hazard and flood insurance. Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, where the company operates.

Responsibilities

  • Perform callouts to insurance brokers to obtain evidence of insurance or full insurance policies.
  • Send 1st and 2nd warning letter reports to the Relationship Managers and Portfolio Managers weekly.
  • Review of daily New Notes Audit Report, pull back up insurance package, save to appropriate folder and upload to vendor website.
  • Ensure timely payment of tracking and force placed invoices and review and callouts of the force place invoice.
  • Order Cashier’s Checks via an operations service request for payment of invoices or prepare loan related debits/credits as appropriate.
  • Order Flood Determinations through vendor website as warranted.
  • Monitor insurance email box and reply to Business Unit timely and accurately.
  • Provides oversight (review of vendor oversight reports) and support in the insurance tracking performed by a 3rd party vendor.
  • Review daily automation email to ensure that daily insurance file was delivered successfully to vendor.
  • Escalates liability tracking reports via email to appropriate internal customers.
  • Performs upload of insurance documents to insurance vendor website upon receipt and after review and validation.
  • Provides effective customer service and assists in resolving problems within given authority.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position including but not limited to the following:
  • Regulation Z (Truth in Lending Act), Regulation B (Equal Credit Opportunity Act), Fair Housing Act (FHA), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) in conjunction with the USA PATRIOT Act, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Customer Information Program (CIP), Right to Financial Privacy Act (RFPA, state and federal) and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA).
  • Basic level of work experience, knowledge and training in collateral insurance monitoring and terminology.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Basic knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations, and other Bank lending Policies governing lending including but not limited to fair lending, privacy, RESPA as well as company Operational policies and procedures, and the company’s products and services.
  • Basic skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; mainframe computer system;
  • Word processing, spreadsheet and specialty software programs.
  • Intermediate typing skills to meet production needs of the position.
  • Intermediate math skills; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors.
  • Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information.
  • Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize own work schedule on a short-term and long-term basis.
  • Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines.
  • Ability to complete routine forms, use existing form letters, and/or conduct routine oral communication.
  • Ability to work with general supervision while performing duties.
  • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (i.e., at least 2 weeks after last dose) and, if hired, present proof of vaccination by start date.
  • High School Diploma or higher required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of related experience/training in loan/collateral insurance within the
  • Financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of Flood Regulations preferred.

Salary Range: $40,892.27 - 60,584.41; Final salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with geographic/market data.
