Position: Brazing Technician

Pacific Trail Manufacturing is looking to fill an experienced stick welding/brazing position on our manufacturing floor located in SE Portland. We’re a small business looking for someone interested in learning new skills and responsibilities. The person in this position will be working in our bar shop to build new chainsaw bars. You will be working alongside someone with over 25 years of experience to teach you the processes and show you the “art” of making chainsaw bars.

The ideal applicant will be able to work as a team member, on-time, follow multi-step verbal communication and will strive for manufacturing best practices and cleanliness. The brazing/stick welding techniques require a great amount of patience and a steady hand.

Responsibilities:

Brazing hard-faced material to the cutting edge of saw bars for the majority of the shift.

Qualifications:
Attention to detail with good eyesight.
Experience with brazing and/or stick welding is highly desired.
Good verbal communication skills to follow multi-step verbal instructions.
3 years of work experience (in any job or military position).
Able to read and follow work orders.
Ability to read a tape measure.
Reliable transportation.
Be able to pass an illegal drug screen.
