Pacific Provisions Hawaii is Hiring a Sales - Protein Specialist Near Kapolei, HI

We are looking for a full-time Sales - Protein Specialist for the following job duties:

Must have extensive product knowledge in protein products- with emphasis on beef, pork, lamb, poultry, and seafood.
Responsible for driving penetration and growth in our manufactured proteins under the Palama Meat and other company labels, through consultative sales activities with targeted customers both independently and with sales and customer service representatives.
Provide product expertise and sales support for all aspects of the protein category including promotional opportunities, product and production information, suggested pricing, competitive information, and menu ideas to prioritize our manufacturing products.
Assist sales reps in opening new protein accounts, accompany sales reps on protein opportunities with existing account base. Train sales reps, focusing on increased sales presentation on the Palama Meat label.
Coordinates activities with production management to ensure proper execution of customers specifications, complete understanding of yield tests and ground formulas.
Achieve sales and margins goals for manufactured and non-manufactured protein items.
Assist in protein growth by acquiring and providing marketing intelligence and customer feedback on product offerings, competitive pricing, trends updates, and innovations in the market: provide input into marketing/selling materials and being the protein lead and all events and food shows.
Performs other duties as required and assigned by supervisor/manager.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
Licenses, and Registrations Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (including no single DUI in the last 3 years and no multiple DUIs within the last 7 years). Current automobile insurance with the following limits of liability: Bodily injury - $100,000 each person and $300,000 each accident; property damage - $100,000 is required.
Use of Company laptop or tablet for business use only. Such as food research, processing ordering, emails, viewing company social media, evaluating sales reports. Lift and carry laptop that weighs between 1- 40 lbs. Carry laptop to and from the car office and customer service accounts.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Work Schedule – Monday thru Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. May be required to attend functions outside of normal business hours to promote and support the sales department and company’s goal and objectives. This position may also require non- traditional hours (evening, weekends, holidays) to successfully meet the Customer’s needs.
Supplemental pay types: bonus opportunities.
