**Position Overview:**

The Skilled Laborer at Pacific Northwest Decks plays a critical role in supporting the construction and installation of high-quality decks. This position involves working alongside skilled craftsmen to ensure that decks are built efficiently, safely, and according to company standards. The Laborer is responsible for assisting with various tasks related to deck construction, maintaining a clean and organized work site, and contributing to the overall success of the project.

**Responsibilities:**

- Assist in the preparation and setup of work areas for deck construction.

- Lift, carry, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from the work site.

- Support skilled workers in tasks such as digging, measuring, cutting, and assembling materials.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by disposing of waste, debris, and excess materials appropriately.

- Operate basic hand tools and power tools under the supervision of experienced craftsmen.

- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment.

- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and meet project deadlines.

- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to report progress, challenges, and updates.

- Adhere to company policies and procedures to ensure consistent quality and professionalism.

- Attend training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in deck construction techniques.

**Qualifications:**

- Must be able to use skill saw, chop saw, and table saw effectively.

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.

- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.

- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn from experienced team members.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

- Prior experience in construction or laborer roles is required.

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from the work site.

**Physical Requirements:**

This position involves standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying heavy materials. Candidates must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.

**Work Environment:**

The Laborer will primarily work outdoors at various construction sites, exposed to changing weather conditions. The work environment may involve exposure to dust, noise, and construction-related hazards.
