Scope and ImpactThe Golf Shop Clerk is responsible for checking in and receiving payment from all golfers and is able to answer basic questions regarding the golf course and its operational procedures. 2. Essential FunctionsPro Shop OperationsChecks in all golfers for their tee times and takes payment for tee times in accordance with internal check-in and cashiering procedures.Maintains accurate and updated information on tee sheets.Accurately creates and updates guest(s) files with change requests and confirms information with the guest(s).Maintains the cleanliness of the golf shop – dusting, vacuuming and wiping down shop and displays. 3. Job RequirementsEducation/Experience Required High school graduate or equivalent.Golf knowledge and experience in the customer service industry is a plus.Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.Ability to operate a golf cart and must have a valid driver’s license.Technical Skills RequiredComputer skills and familiarity in Word and Excel programs are required. Ability to operate a point of sale system is required.Previous cash handling experience is required.Interpersonal SkillsMust be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with managers, guests and co-workers.Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.Physical Demands/Work EnvironmentRequires occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.Requires some bending, stretching and pulling.Required to work indoors with A/C and outdoors. Additional InformationThis job posting no way implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee filling this position.
