JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE: CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE - Greater Portland

DEPARTMENT: PARTS/SERVICE

REPORTS TO: GENERAL MANAGER

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

Attain and maintain exceptional customer satisfaction levels while promoting and increasing the sale of assigned products and services while profitability meeting territory sales objectives.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

  • Assess customers' product support needs and quote necessary parts and services as required.
  • Ensure that customers are aware of all product and repair options including financial assistance that meets their specific needs.
  • Develop and use written monthly territory plans.
  • With the Machine Sales Representative, develop customer and market strategies by account and territory. Submit written action plans to management.
  • Provide complete territory coverage using personal calls, telephone solicitation and all available marketing tools,
  • Be the communications link between the customer and the company in all areas such as technical information, training of all types and disputes.
  • Follow up with the customer on major repairs or parts purchases within five days of completion to ensure satisfaction and to promote customer/company relationships.
  • Assist the Service Department in contacting the customer on product improvements and promote the sale of product updates.
  • Actively be aware of and promote all company programs.
  • Become technically proficient in all of the company's products and programs. Consult with your manager on any training that may be required.
  • Suggest new sales strategies for customers and/or markets.
  • Activity reports, monthly territory plans, lost sales, competitive information, data base maintenance, and any other required reports are to be submitted on time.
  • Maintain social contacts with customers including participation in appropriate trade organizations.
  • Maintain the company vehicle in a clean and safe condition.
  • Achieve the established sales, territory, and personal goals established for the year.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
