Pacific Eye Surgeons is Hiring an Ophthalmic Triage Tech Near San Luis Obispo, CA

Purpose: We are an established multi-specialty Ophthalmology group looking for a Triage Specialist. Your primary duties will include receiving calls/triage emergencies/communicating with clinical staff to organize into clinical schedules, work with clinical staff to complete/process all refills.

Responsibilities:

Answer and address all triage calls, schedule patient as required.
Communicates general clinical information.
Return calls same day.
Uses internal extension list and phone directory list regularly used by practice.
Knowledge of Electronic Health Records
Maintains information in a confidential manner.
Rotates urgent visits through all locations.
Understanding of ophthalmic anatomy, common eye issues, terminology and frequently uses ophthalmic medications.
Prior Authorizations
Answer and address all faxes.
Serve as a liaison between Physicians and staff.
