PACIFIC EYE INSTITUTE is Hiring a Medical Optometrist - High Desert Near Apple Valley, CA

Medical Optometrist

Looking for an Optometrist to work on a collaborative OD/MD team. Full-time OD.

Job duties include:

Perform comprehensive medical eye exams for patients
Assist MDs in cataract evaluations
Provide co-manage care for cataract surgery, LASIK surgery and pterygium excision patients
Perform testing as needed, i.e., A-scans and Ocular Coherence Biometry measurements for patients scheduled for cataract surgery
Collaborate with corneal specialist to provide RGP over-refraction

This is a multiple-location ophthalmology practice with a lot of opportunity for clinical growth and learning, while working with top surgeons.

One Saturday a month, fully comprehensive practice and opportunity to really work in complex optometry.

Required Experience:

Licensed and board certified optometrist with either one year ophthalmic residency or 2 years performing exams in a medical setting.
