Pacific Catch, Inc. is looking for experienced Bartenders who are familiar with a wide variety of drink recipes and can deliver an amazing experience to our guests. The Bartender will be responsible for serving guests at our bar area and fulfilling drink orders for the rest of our restaurant’s guests and takeout orders.

General Manager

SCHEDULE
This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position. Hours may be different every week and schedules are not set nor guaranteed, although often includes weekends, nights, and holiday shifts.

REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES

  • Per business needs, you may be asked to perform other related duties.
  • 21 years of age or older.
  • Knowledge of cocktail, beer, and wine, including recipes, history, base ingredients, and jiggers.
  • Energetic, outgoing, and helpful personality.
  • Superior verbal communication, listening, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Possession of basic math skills and high level of accuracy with cash and credit card handling.
  • Possession of a Food Handler or Responsible Alcohol Service card within 30 days of employment.
  • Working knowledge of food and beverage laws and regulations.
  • Exceptionally reliable, responsible, honest, organized, and independent.
  • Punctual, strong work ethic, quick-working, and committed to excellence.
  • Openness to being cross trained in multiple restaurant positions

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow all company safety guidelines to the highest level.
  • Wash hands before and throughout shift, and always between prepping items
  • Provide full bar service including preparing wine, beer, and crafted cocktails. Make drinks in a quick and efficient manner.
  • Check Guests' identification to ensure they are of legal drinking age.
  • Be aware of and be able to inform Guests of Pacific Catch’s ingredients and components of all food and beverage items, as well as how to find this information if more details are needed.
  • Learn the names and personally recognize repeat Guests, learn their food, and drink preferences.
  • Ensure a good Guest experience--present drink menu, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages; take orders; promptly serve food and drink, and check in with Guests regarding their experience; up-sell whenever possible. If preparing drink order from server, only do so with printed ticket.
  • Record drink or food orders accurately and immediately after receipt into POS. Accept and process Guest payment and make correct change as applicable. Safely store receipts.
  • Fill in as a server as directed by manager to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Restaurant (see Server job description).
  • Maintain inventory and bar supplies; assist in restocking and replenishing.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the bar area (counters, tables, equipment, and floors, etc.) always.
  • Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages. Wash and sterilize glassware as needed.
  • Prepare and rotate fruit and garnishes for drinks; replenish any snacks for Guests.
  • Prepare and keep stocked all necessary beverages and bases (e.g., coffee, tea, alcohol, juice, milk, and cream). Inform kitchen when more kitchen-made bases are needed.
  • During any down time, proactively assist other team members or as requested by manager. Make sure to-go roll ups are stocked (napkin, fork, chopsticks, and knife rolled- up).
  • Notify management of any comments, suggestions, or complaints from any Guests.
  • Read all notices and memos directed to Serving/Bar staff or general staff.
  • Complete side work at the beginning and end of shift and ensure that everything in the bar is stocked, prepared, clean, and orderly for the next shift. Checkout with the closing server and manager on duty.
  • Maintain excellent personal grooming and hygiene (i.e., clean, and neat hair, facial hair, fingernails), and wear appropriate professional attire, and slip-resistant shoes.
  • Inform Supervisors of any immediate symptoms if you are feeling ill
