PACE Supply is seeking an experienced Counter Supervisor for our Santa Ana, CA branch. Responsibilities

· Lead and supervise the counter team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to maximize their potential and performance.

· Ensure smooth and efficient counter operations, including managing customer inquiries, sales orders, and product inquiries.

· Foster a customer-first culture, delivering exceptional service and support to our valued clients.

· Oversee inventory management, ensuring accurate stock levels and efficient order processing.

· Collaborate with other departments to maintain seamless communication and coordination within the company.

· Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to create a safe working environment for all team members and customers.

· Monitor and track key performance metrics, providing regular reports to management on team performance and customer satisfaction.

· Identify areas for improvement in processes and implement effective solutions to enhance productivity and customer experience.

· Conduct regular training sessions to keep the team updated on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service best practices.

· Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally, aiming for complete customer satisfaction.

· Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market changes, and product knowledge to remain a reliable resource for both the team and customers.

· Support the hiring and onboarding process for new counter team members, ensuring the team maintains a high level of expertise and competence.

· Perform periodic performance evaluations for team members, providing constructive feedback and recognizing exceptional performance.

Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirement

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance of the job would qualify.

· 4-5 years of counter experience within a warehousing or distribution environment is preferred.

· Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a warehousing or distribution environment is preferred.

· Knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and industrial products is advantageous.

· Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle and resolve customer inquiries and complaints effectively.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead, motivate, and collaborate with the team and various stakeholders.

· Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.

· Proficiency in using computer systems, inventory management software, and MS Office applications.

· Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet in fast-paced situations.
