The ideal candidate is one that is proactive in working with suppliers, customers, and production to ensure material availability, premium freight, surplus and obsolete, and inventory turn goals are met. Candidate must be proficient in managing a complex supply chain, directing and leading a team of planners, and managing multiple programs and projects congruently. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be proficient in SAP’s MRP systems and utilization of its planning tools.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Supervise and train materials planning staff on part management related processes.
• Negotiate with struggling suppliers to improve delivery and meet plant needs.
• Perform material readiness review to maintain implementation schedules and mitigate S&O.
• Prepare and consolidate ad hoc reports from available SAP, Excel, Access and SQL databases
• Develop and maintain processes and mechanisms for inventory optimization
• Maintain S&O databases, spreadsheets and reports for inventory analysis
• Set and lead supplier and management meetings for material delivery issues.
• Identify and investigate slow moving material for disposition prioritization
• Negotiate with customers, suppliers and engineers for S&O avoidance
• Prepare, launch and track material disposition SharePoint workflows
• Provide open, routine and immediate communication with Accounting and Materials Management
• Develop and implement projects to improve performance and protect material deliveries.

Dynacraft is a diversified global manufacturer of PACCAR medium and heavy-duty truck parts sold under the Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF nameplates. For more than forty years, Dynacraft has provided the company’s truck manufacturing divisions and PACCAR Parts service parts division with high quality components, subassemblies and specialized services. Dynacraft’s manufacturing facilities are located in Louisville, KY, and McKinney, TX.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated, organized and flexible with ability to handle the demands of a lean manufacturing environment
• Experience managing direct reports strongly desired
• Constructive written and verbal communication skills
• Creative quality and results-driven work ethic
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects
• Microsoft software proficiency (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
• SAP Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) knowledge and experience
• Working knowledge of statistics, operations management concepts, and EDI
• Understanding of production facilities, assembly operations and heavy-duty truck knowledge

Education

• Four-year degree in Supply Chain Management or related field strong desired
• SAP Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) training strongly desired
• Six Sigma training desired
• Tableau, SQL, SSMS, COPICS, VOG and PCMS training is a plus
