REQUISITION SUMMARY:

The PACCAR Powertrain Emissions Compliance team is looking for an Emissions Warranty Compliance Specialist. This role is responsible for warranty failure analysis for compliance reporting to CARB and EPA. Compliance reporting includes Field Information Report (FIR), Emission Information Report (EIR) for CARB, and quarterly Investigation Factsheets for EPA. This role also involves interaction throughout the PACCAR organization. The successful candidate will be involved in analyzing and validating existing failure data related to emission defects, warranty, and recall.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Assess Powertrain failure modes based on available data (warranty, parts, etc.).
  • Assign projects and create new quality improvement projects.
  • Work closely and align with warranty teams to identify applicable corrective actions.
  • Create processes to ensure the Compliance Team clearly communicates with other internal and external teams.
  • Update cross-functional teams with compliance reports.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to improve the classification of component failures.
  • Develop processes to maximize data consistency and streamline the compliance reporting process.
  • Perform analysis and generate conclusions for stakeholders.
  • Work with different teams within the organization and evaluate the current tools and improve the current data quality, process, and executive improvements.
  • Collaborate with Peterbilt and Kenworth Safety and Compliance, ITD, and Engineering teams to review warranty data, and defects for EPA, CARB, and ECCC submission.


Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience with regulatory compliance reporting preferred
  • Understanding of engine and aftertreatment function and parts
  • Awareness of the warranty system and failed part analysis methods are helpful
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Ability to shift back and forth between tasks and manage multiple priorities
  • Self-starter who effectively works under limited supervision
  • Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint


Education:

Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree preferred.
