Requisition Summary

The CAD Drafter provides computer-aided design (CAD) support to the liaison engineering team. This position will be responsible for creating and releasing part and assembly drawings as well as installation and routing drawings. The drafter will also check/review drawings to ensure they meet all company and departmental requirements. This role requires independent judgement and good time management skills under moderate-to-low supervision.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Utilizes CAD software to produce 3D-models and technical drawings.
• Reviews technical drawings for completeness and adherence to company and departmental procedures and communicates deficiencies as needed.
• Submits prototype part requests to the engineering lab.
• Follows all company policies regarding drawing storage, retention, and documentation.

Qualifications and Skills

• AS in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or similar field preferred
• Proficient with CAD software – Creo highly-preferred
• Familiar with product lifecycle management (PLM) CAD data management software – Windchill PLM preferred.
• CNC/machining/fabricating knowledge and skills a plus
• Moderate computer skills required (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
• Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and imaginative according to the shifting demands of different situations.
• This position will support various projects with drafting support.
