Under the general supervision of the PACCAR Parts PDC Manager, direct all receiving/shipping distribution activities and lead all warehouse supervisors to drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity and customer service. The position of Assistant Distribution Center Manager is one of the most dynamic opportunities at PACCAR Parts. Salary Range:

At PACCAR, we value talent and promote growth and development. We carefully consider numerous compensation factors including your education, training, or experience. The salary range for this position is $93,000 - $145,500 annually. Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.

Job Functions

• Direct a multi-shift production operation in the 260,000 ft2 facility assuring the expedient flow of product in/out of the PDC. Manage to world-class cost, productivity, quality, inventory control, customer service, human resource, and safety metrics.
• Manage a collaborative team of 80 employees servicing Kenworth, Peterbilt and TRP Prime Dealerships
• Direct management of frontline Warehouse Supervisors, including recruiting and selecting employees, providing training and development, and evaluating performance. Building a motivated, effective team to ensure career development, performance management and employee engagement objectives are met.
• Lead by example with highest degree of integrity, promote teamwork, and effectively communicate at all levels within the organization. Strong focus on metrics and culture of accountability. Recruit, train, and develop all levels of staffing.
• Support Continuous Improvement Manager to foster a climate of continuous improvement. Understanding and desire to use data and statistical tools to drive operational improvements using six sigma methodologies.
• Develop a positive relationship with the customers/dealers and maintain market knowledge of PDC region dealers, supply base, and competitors. Identify opportunities that drive lead time reductions and improved service to dealers and customers.
• Perform within approved Operating and Capital budgets. Prepare, direct, and coordinate reports and information for senior management.
• Participate in special assignments/projects; available for travel and/or relocation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a business, logistics, engineering field or related area required. Master's degree preferred.
• 3 years of leadership and supervision experience.
• 7-10 years of relevant business experience.
• Proven record of accomplishment in developing future leaders required.
• Demonstrated abilities in leadership, problem solving, and change management.
• Highly self-motivated and able to work effectively in a team environment with little to no supervision.
• Ability to influence others through clear communication of expectations. Ability to present and communicate to all levels of management.
• Ability to manage technical projects and interpret large data sets within the distribution environment. Experience with PACCAR Production System (PPS) or TPS methodology a plus. Experience with Total Quality Management System (TQM) a plus.
• Intermediate to advanced PC skills required: MSAccess, MSWord, MSExcel, MSPowerPoint, AutoCAD
• Multi-lingual skills highly desirable.
• Six Sigma Trained: Green Belt or Black Belt preferred
• Willing to work 2nd shift operating hours if needed.
• Participate in special assignments/projects; available for travel and/or relocation
