Busy office located in downtown Vancouver, Washington, seeking an experienced and motivated estate planning senior paralegal that can begin drafting documents and take over a large caseload.

The estate planning paralegal’s role is crucial in supporting the attorneys to prepare accurate documents, oversee efficient processes, follow up with clients, and maintain positive client relationships.

Requirements:

• Draft complex estate planning documents for taxable estates including revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, powers of attorney and health care documents;
• Know Washington and Oregon law;
• Manage large caseload workflow, tasks, and file organization;
• Calendar meetings using cloud-based software;
• Maintain excellent client relationships;
• Communicate effectively;
• Understand and maintain confidentiality;
• Understand and deal with sensitive information including possible conflicts of interest;
• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel;
• Prepare asset charts;
• Prepare beneficiary designation forms;
• Review incoming mail related to clients’ estate planning; and
• Apply for tax identification numbers.
