Position Summary:
A Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of food and drink service in an establishment. This role involves managing staff, planning menus, ensuring quality service, and maintaining inventory. The manager also focuses on budgeting, cost control, and compliance with health and safety standards. Effective communication with both staff and patrons, along with strong leadership skills, is crucial for success in this position. Additionally, the manager may be involved in event planning, marketing, and vendor relations to enhance the overall guest experience and drive business growth.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Supervising, training, and scheduling staff to ensure efficient operation.
2. Collaborate with the kitchen crew members, including the Regional F&B Manager, to plan menus, considering customer preferences and budget constraints.
3. Ensuring food and drink quality meets standards and guest expectations.
4. Monitoring and maintaining stock levels, minimizing waste, and controlling costs.
5. Overseeing customer interactions and addressing concerns to enhance satisfaction.
6. Upholding hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards in the food and beverage areas.
7. Managing financial aspects, including budgeting, cost analysis, and implementing measures to control expenses.
8. Coordinating and organizing special events, functions, or catering services.
9. Establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and negotiating contracts.
10. Develop strategies to promote food and beverage offerings and increase sales.
11. Providing regular reports to higher management on performance, sales, and other relevant metrics.
12. Be prepared to undertake other duties as assigned, contributing to the smooth operation of the team.
Position Qualifications:
· A degree in hospitality management, culinary arts, or a related field preferred.
· Several years of experience in the food and beverage industry, with progressive roles in management.
· Strong leadership and team management abilities to oversee staff effectively.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact with guests and address concerns.
· Familiarity with food safety regulations and commitment to maintaining hygiene standards.
