**Job Summary:**

A Cleaning Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various settings, including residential, commercial, healthcare, or industrial environments. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure that spaces are clean, sanitized, and presentable by performing a range of cleaning tasks efficiently and following established protocols.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Cleaning and Sanitizing:**
- Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and surface disinfection.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and common areas according to established guidelines.
- Handle and use cleaning agents and chemicals safely and in accordance with manufacturer instructions.

2. **Waste Management:**
- Empty trash bins, collect and dispose of waste, and replace trash can liners.
- Sort recyclables and ensure proper disposal in designated recycling containers.

3. **Floor Care:**
- Maintain and care for various types of flooring, including carpet, tile, hardwood, and vinyl.
- Use floor cleaning equipment such as buffers, polishers, and carpet cleaners when required.

4. **Restocking Supplies:**
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and toiletries as needed.
- Keep an inventory of cleaning materials and report shortages to the supervisor.

5. **Specialized Cleaning:**
- Perform specialized cleaning tasks as assigned, which may include window cleaning, upholstery cleaning, and high-pressure washing.

6. **Equipment Maintenance:**
- Maintain cleaning equipment by cleaning and servicing them regularly.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the supervisor.

7. **Compliance with Safety Procedures:**
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when handling cleaning agents and equipment.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor immediately.

8. **Documentation:**
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning tasks completed and report any discrepancies or issues.
- Complete checklists and log sheets as required.

**Qualifications:**

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in cleaning, janitorial, or housekeeping roles is a plus.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality cleaning services.
