As a remote Medical Billing and CodingSpecialist you will be responsible for accurately assigningappropriate medical codes to patient records ensuring timelyreimbursement from insurance companies and maintaining compliancewith all relevant regulations and guidelines.

This role requires ahigh level of attention to detail excellent communication skillsand a strong understanding of medical terminology and codingprocedures.

Key responsibilitiesinclude :

Reviewing medical records and assigningappropriate diagnosis and procedure codes

Submitting claims to insurance companies forreimbursement

Resolving any coding discrepanciesor rejected claims

Following up on unpaid ordenied claims

Collaborating with healthcareproviders and insurance companies to resolve billingissues

Maintaining confidentiality of patientrecords in accordance with HIPAA regulations

Tobe successful in this role candidates must possess the followingqualifications :

Certified Professional Coder(CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)certification

Minimum of 3 years of experiencein medical billing and coding

Strongunderstanding of insurance billing and reimbursementprocesses

Excellent problemsolving skills andattention to detail

Effective communicationskills both written and verbal

Ability to workindependently and meet deadlines
