JOB DESCRIPTION: Forklift Operator is responsible for handling palletized materials in the warehouse, loading & unloading trucks safely and efficiently.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Load & unload flatbed and box trailers with correct SKUs.
Inspecting pallets for quality before loading.
Accurately complete required paperwork.
Removal of pallets from the manufacturing line.
Stacking of pallets for storage/unstacking pallets for shipping.
Physical Inventory Counts.
Basic maintenance on assigned machine, fueling, daily inspection checklist.
Maintain a clean machine.
Be willing to help in all directions in the shop & yard; includes willingness to learn how to operate additional machines, operate bagging equipment, testing of materials, cleaning, etc.
Communicate professionally with all drivers and customers.
Communicate with front office staff of issues with orders, etc.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of 2 years of recent experience operating a forklift. (using forklift daily for most of shift worked)
Experience loading/unloading flatbed trailers.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to use time efficiently.
Must be organized and detail oriented.
Willingness to learn and work in all directions.
Ability to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors during all weather conditions.
