Hotel Reservation Front Desk Agent (Bremerton)

Oyster Bay Inn & Suites, Washington-based Hospitality, is now accepting resumes for Reservations Agents. Our spacious office is located in beautiful Bremerton, offers brilliant views, access to everything, and wonderful co-workers.

What we are looking for: We are looking for a person with integrity, who works well with others but is also confident working independently and is willing to contribute to a positive team environment. The Front Desk Agent will contribute to the mission of the company by creating exceptional ways of personalizing and providing the best guest service in the hospitality industry. The front desk agent will provide prompt and courteous service to all guests, encouraging the guest to return again which will generate repeat business. The essential hospitality standards of guest service must be used at all times which include eye contact, smile, speak first, engage in polite conversation and use the guest surname in order to achieve the level of quality necessary to meet the high standards of the hotel. The front desk agent is responsible for providing quality guest services that include registering and assigning rooms to guests, issuing room keys, transmitting and receiving messages, keeping records of occupied rooms and guests' accounts, making and confirming room reservations, and presenting statements to and collecting payment from departing guests. The Front desk agent must be accurate with all daily accounting procedures. All functions are carried out to maintain an environment of teamwork. All candidates must have flexible schedules. All applicants must be able to work AM, PM, weekends and Holidays. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. Appointment to this position is contingent upon obtaining satisfactory results from a criminal background check & drug test.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities
-Greet guests/residents in main lobby of hotel.
-Assist all departments as needed.
-Explain directions to guest room(s) and show guest(s) key features of room.
-Resolve guest problems and issues following proper conduct standards.
-Thoroughly understand and adhere to proper credit, check cashing and cash handling policies and procedure.
-At all times, demonstrate the highest level of professionalism in dealing with guests, staff and other managers.
-Help maintain and advance all knowledge and skill sets of Front Desk Agents.
-Keep work area clean of all clutter while maintaining professional appearance and standards.
-Answer all incoming calls within three rings.
-Make hotel reservations.
-Support, maintain and participate in other duties as determined necessary by manager.
-Maintain up to date knowledge of Hotel services, products and procedures
-Focus on working in a safe manner and create a safe working environment at all times.
-Arrange delivery of packages, amenities, or other items as directed to guest rooms.
-Use proper mail, package and message handling procedures
-Conduct cash transactions, including making proper change
-Post transactions to guest accounts.
-Assist guests with safe deposit boxes according to hotel policies and procedures.
-Perform guest checkouts and post final payments

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.28 - $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
