Missions

Scope

• Leadership of direct labor resources, equipment, material, and data collection to execute the production schedule and follow quality system at the sub-process level.

Functions

• Collect accurate data for PRE, PROD, and POST production.
• Validate physical quantity of product.
• Fill out Work Order printout immediately upon completion of production run.
• Enter accurate data into information system.
• Monitor and record Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
• Monitor and record time and attendance.
• Work with Quality Assurance team to implement the Total Quality Management system on the shop floor.
• Lead the quality audit of products at the sub-process level.
• Ensure that materials required for production are available on the shop floor.
• Assign Direct Labor (DL) resources to specific workstations.
• Work with Process Engineer (PE) to troubleshoot production process issues.
• Ensure that all DL resources adhere to the performance objectives and understand and carry out their responsibilities.
• Address production issues that are brought forward on the shop floor and coordinate the activities for a timely solution.
• Resolve or escalate issues to the appropriate departments to ensure resolution in support of the production schedule.
• Participate in deployment of training system.
• Identify candidates who deliver high performance and provide feedback to Shop Floor Manager.
• Execute the HSE action plans on the shop floor.
• Audit work area to ensure compliance with HSE guidelines.
• Be the emergency contact person at the sub-process level.
• Participate in accident investigations and resulting action plans.
• Perform other essential functions as assigned.
• Ability to work on any shift, nights, and weekends.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a 2-year degree of bachelor’s degree or similar preferred (Industrial Engineering or Human Resources Management a plus).
• Forklift certified required (Selected Process Units only).

Work Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in operations, preferably in a cosmetics or pharmaceuticals manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in applying Lean Manufacturing Principles in an operational setting.
