Oxley Rich Sammons, PLLC is Hiring an Administrative Assistant/HR Coordinator Near Huntington, WV

The Administrative Assistant/HR Coordinator plays a vital role in driving employee engagement and fostering a positive work environment. This hands-on position works across the full spectrum of HR activities, ensuring a smooth and supportive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Support the full recruitment cycle, including posting job ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and assisting with the onboarding of new hires.
  • Training – Training new employees for their designated position and working to develop job descriptions and training for future employees to utilize. The training will extend to existing employees who may need retraining or other assistance in reaching their potential as an employee.
  • Employee Surveys: Design, administer, and analyze various employee surveys (exit, new hire, and stay surveys) to gauge employee satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
  • Employee Engagement: Develop and implement initiatives that promote a positive work environment and enhance employee engagement. This may include organizing events, recognition programs, and communication strategies.
  • HR Administration: Assist with maintaining employee records, processing paperwork, and providing support with HR-related inquiries.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date on HR trends and suggest ways to enhance our processes and programs.
  • General Administration – Assist in purchasing supplies for office; running various monthly reports; monitor and track employee personal time off from work, flex time, and paralegal work from home options; Coordinate client relation materials such as marketing, Christmas gifts, etc.; Oversee and schedule Runners and all part-time, hourly personnel employed by the firm and any other tasks that may arise.
  • This position reports to the firm’s Chief Operating Officer.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an HR support role, or a strong internship with relevant HR projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.

Salary: $45,000 to $70,000 based on level of experience

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
