OXFORD PUBLIC SCHOOLS is Hiring a Summer School Coordinator - High School Near Oxford, MA

TIMEFRAME: June 14, 2024 - July 26, 2024TITLE: High School Summer School CoordinatorSUMMARY: Reporting to the Building Principal, the Summer School Coordinator facilitates, develops, and implements instructional and personnel functions of summer school in order to continually improve student performance.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Organizes the summer school curriculum for all grade levels in consultation with appropriate members of the staff and faculty.Assumes responsibility for attendance accounting and submits enrollment and attendance reports.Prepares summer school schedule and assumes responsibility for registration and assignment of students.Requisitions classroom equipment, supplies, and textbooks, as needed.Prepares and oversees dissemination of publicity and information concerning summer school course offerings.Performs other tasks and assumes other responsibilities within the overall scope of the position which the Building Principal may assign.Collaborates and coordinates with administrative team members to support all activities related to summer school.Serves as contact resource person for questions regarding summer school program.On-site supervision of students.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and ExperienceBachelors Degree in Education from an accredited college/university. Licensed, or eligible for licensure, as a School Administrator with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of curriculum, best instructional practices in content areas, assessment and data analysis; understanding of differentiated instruction, response to intervention, student learning styles, and positive behavioral interventions.Skill-based competencies include effective communication style, staff management, and overall public school administration.Ability-based competencies include budget planning, preparation, and implementation; effectively communicate with parents, teachers, and members of the community. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position for extended periods; position oneself to demonstrate technique; move up to 25 lbs. Accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform the functions.WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy school environment.
