We are looking for caring and committed individual to join our healthcare assistant team supporting the team at Abingdon Community Hospital, Abbey Ward.
The role will be 37.5 hours per week and shifts will cover 7 days per week including early, late and nights.
Full training and support available and will be provided.
Please note : Due to the nature of these interviews they will be conducted in an onsite capacity only.
Main duties of the job
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be instrumental in assisting the teams to meet the changing needs of the patients, provide personal care, assist in individual patient monitoring and be a patient advocate.
Your commitment to providing excellent care at the place of the individual patient or ward need will demonstrate your patient focused approach.
Working across wards in a range of shifts, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, will develop your skills and knowledge in a variety of patient specialities and ensure that the role is very rewarding.

Oxfordshire Stroke Rehabilitation Unit is a 20-bed inpatient unit based at Abingdon Community Hospital.
We provide a short period of inpatient rehabilitation for people who have had a stroke, are registered with an Oxfordshire GP and are not able to be discharged directly home from hospital.

This role works on a 7 day rota of early, late and night sifts including weekend and Bank Holidays. Enhanced hourly rates will be paid.
