As a Quality Tech you are responsible for working directly with machine operators, production personnel and other quality management individuals. In addition, you are responsible for performing quality checks during the production process to ensure the instructions and procedures are being followed. Work is usually performed under minimal supervision and requires the use of independent judgment and initiative while continuing to work within defined policies and procedures.
Functions/Responsibilities
Conduct, behavior and actions in accordance with Oxco core values of Caring, Creativity, Determination, Dependability and Teamwork
Quality control- serve as a material inspector to assure that all quality standards have been met
Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced
Monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards
Document results of inspections
Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products
Quarantine material that does not meet specifications
Generate samples per sample request
Report any concerns that arise from the day-to-day work to the quality manager or President
QualificationsEducation: High School or GED Experience: 2 years of experience Skills–High Attention to detail – Accuracy in entering data and in communicating information with others; ability to see errors and identify inconsistencies
Collaboration – Work effectively with other personnel to achieve established outcomes and resolve issues
Dependability - Consistent attendance is required and rewarded
Communication- Excellent verbal and written communication
Computer- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
Mathematical reasoning- Perform mathematical and measurement conversions
Multi-Tasking-Ability to manage and complete multiple tasks with deadlines
