Mental Health Technician Lead
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports to: Residential Coordinator
Job Summary:
The MHT Lead will collaborate closely with the Residential Coordinator to supervise the daily operations of our residential program, focusing on program development and service delivery at the WJ Group Home for SPMI adults. Additionally, the MHT Lead will aid in implementing rehabilitation and support services to contribute to treatment planning, offering education, support, and guidance to families. They will also assist clients with daily living activities and cultivate employment prospects while advocating for those who are employed.
Essential Functions:
· Assist the Coordinator in managing the daily operations of the residential program.
· Collaborate with Residential Coordinator, therapist and case manager to ensure that direction for treatment is followed.
· Conduct multiple, daily medication counts with staff on duty.
· Coordinate and oversee recreational and therapeutic activities for clients, promoting engagement and socialization.
· Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations governing residential care facilities.
· Ensures compliance with all facility and agency wide required training courses for new hires and required ongoing training(s).
· Ensures client needs are being met per instructions and guidance of facility coordinator, therapist and case manager.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client records, incidents, and other relevant information.
· Respond to crises and emergencies as needed, following established protocols and procedures.
· Assist with the intake and discharge process for clients, including completing necessary paperwork and coordinating with other agencies and providers.
· Assists Coordinator with the scheduling of staff.
· Perform routine household/facility and vehicle upkeep utilizing all pertinent staff and vendors as needed.
· Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes client empowerment, independence, and recovery.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field preferred.
· Two years’ experience working in a residential or community mental health setting is highly desirable.
