OXBO , worldwide leader in specialty harvesters, has an opening in our Clear Lake, WI, facility for an Engineering Co-Op.

At Oxbo we design, manufacture and service innovative harvesting equipment and related products for the application, berry, citrus, coffee, field corn, forage, fresh market vegetable, olive, processed vegetable, seed and vineyard markets. Oxbo is offering a hands-on Co-Op internship experience to work both in an office environment and in the production area. A Co-Op will assist with designing new products and developing prototypes to apply their advanced knowledge in engineering.

Oxbo Co-op positions are ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in an agriculture environment with a small community atmosphere. The Co-Op position will run from January 2024 through August 2024 or May 2024 through December 2024. Average work week will be approximately 45 hours.

We want your Co-op experience to be educational, utilize your individual strengths, and help you develop areas of interest or weakness. Examples of individualized training from previous students include having you work alongside a trained Engineer using CAD and FEA programs, spend time with the product validation team completing lifetime and functional testing of harvesters, go to the field with Service Technicians to experience real world applications and interact directly with customers.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Component, Weldment and Assembly drawings using Solidworks

• Assembly Modeling using Solidworks

• Bill of material maintenance including modifications to existing and creation of new bill of materials.

• Design project(s) with one of the Engineering Project Teams at our facility in Clear Lake, WI.

• A minimum of one week working the assembly area.

• Exposure to manufacturing operations that include laser cutting of sheet and plate, forming of sheet and plate parts, welding, machining and painting.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Agricultural Engineering

Skills and Abilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Experience using Excel, Word, PowerPoint or similar programs

• CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred, but not required)

• Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills

• Self-motivated

• Desire to work in an office and hands-on shop/field environment
