The Job

As an Associate Project Manager at Own, you will keep our projects running smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the health of our project management tool (Asana) by organizing and managing various parts of a project to ensure its success. This includes assigning and monitoring daily tasks and communication, as well as creating reports and updates for the marketing team and members of management. As part of Own Company's Summer 2024 Emerging Talent Program, the start date for this role will be June 3rd, 2024. We at Own prioritize a learning environment, and through our Emerging Talent Program will be offering early career hires a comprehensive development program. Through lunch and learns, workshops and events featuring internal and external speakers, new hires will enhance their understanding of the SaaS industry while refining communication, presentation, and leadership skills.

Your Day-to-Day Role

  • Work closely with marketing team members (demand, product, events, and communication) and alongside marketing operations and creative to ensure requests are accurate
  • Update project plans as needed, by planning, monitoring and coordinating tasks
  • Ensure request quality, completeness, plausibility, and adherence to project plans
  • Work to automate repeatable processes to consistently optimize and accelerate marketing campaign delivery and workflows
  • Collaborate with global and local cross-functional teams to meet deadlines, identify bottlenecks, and establish standard best practices
  • Responsible for supporting the Chief of Staff, Creative and Marketing Operations leads and other project resources during the course of the project lifecycle
  • Gather qualitative feedback from marketing stakeholders to help drive further efficiencies within processes
  • Document and systematize marketing processes to maximize efficiencies and create repeatable cadences
  • Conduct regular standup meetings to monitor projects from initiation to completion
  • -continuously assessing each to identify risks and dependencies that could impede on-time delivery
  • Ensure every project and all associated tasks are trafficked through Asana
  • Disseminate new and updated content to stakeholders on our internal channels
  • Inform project teams of any updates and changes as and when they occur
  • Identify opportunities to adjust and revise work processes in order to increase efficiency
  • Prepare weekly updates to disseminate to stakeholders throughout the organization

Your Work Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Journalism or a relevant field, 0-1 years of marketing event planning and management
  • This individual is a fast learner, highly organized, and can apply critical thinking to all scenarios
  • Knowledge of marketing tools, techniques and best practices
  • Excellent time management, communication, verbal and presentation skills
  • Able to effectively manage competing priorities; think and act proactively, and creatively solve problems
  • A keen eye for detail
  • A growth mindset – always making improvements, trying new things, rolling with changes, failing fast, and a can-do attitude.
  • An analytical mindset with a problem solving attitude
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Google Suite

Important Details

This is a full-time position. The ideal candidate will work 3 days per week minimum out of our Englewood Cliffs, NJ office to maximize collaboration and interaction with sales and business teams. Travel to events may be required.
